Our kids in Vegas.

Here is just some pictures of our cute kids since we moved to Vegas.

Nate trying on his first Halloween costume one more time before we give it to the DI.
Just look how much he has grown.
Yesterday we went and ate lunch at a park near Jared's work with him. It was good to see him at lunch time. It is still so weird not seeing him during his lunch time. We miss seeing him.

Happy Halloween Late!

Happy Halloween! Sorry I didn't get to this till now...I am trying to catch up as fast as I can and still unpack the house. Well on Halloween morning Mom and Dad, and Grandma and Grandpa Deming came over to the house to help us with some of the unpacking. Grandma and Grandpa had driven down from SLC to see us and to help us unpack, and Mom and Dad were going to drive home with them on Saturday. We women worked on the kitchen while the men put together the table, the beds, and then we put the living room together. We got a ton done and it was so nice to see Grandma and Grandpa too. We hadn't seen them for over a year. Mom and I also went with the kids to get some groceries and to buy a shelf for under the stairs so I could have a pantry. It was interesting driving in a new area where I didn't know where anything was and where I was totally dependent on the GPS so I wouldn't get lost. Sorry mom if my driving scared you. :) Then when night time came, Jared and the men went and got food at Cafe Rio's for us all, Grandmas treat, and we got Nate and Miley in their costumes. Nate was Darth Vader and Miley was just in Halloween pj's and a Halloween bib. She had been sporting Halloween socks mom had bought her everyday since Wednesday, which Miley loved to look at and play with on her feet.

Grandma and the kids. They are so cute.

Grandpa and Darth Tato.

I took Nate out around the neighborhood at around 5:30 and we went to 10 houses before one had someone there to give candy to him. So we went back to the house for an hour and ate. Then we noticed some of the neighbors coming out to sit in front of their garage doors with their candy so we did the same. I took Nate out some more and people were actually home this time. I took Nate around till the guys got back with the food. Then Nate and grandma sat in the front giving candy to the kids while Nate kept talking to everyone and trying to get to know them all as they came by. Mom said he was quite funny. After we ate Jared took Nate around the rest of the neighborhood and I gave out candy.

Eating Cafe Rio's, So good. We sure did miss its food.

Me and my boy.

So Halloween turned out really nice and it was so fun to hang with our family. We did miss our ward in Salinas and the trick or trunk they had. I missed actually knowing the kids that came to get candy, but next year we will have our own ward trick or trunk and then also get to go around with the kids.

The Drive and our house.

Here is Nate and Miley before we moved everything out of the house. Monday night.

We were able to get the truck one day early which was another miracle, we have already been blessed so much in getting ready for this move and in receiving the job. Tuesday night we had quite a turn out for help from the ward. We were able to get the whole house emptied and in the truck in 4 ish hours. Thanks everyone who helped. We left the beds in the house because mom and dad came out to help us with the drive and the rest of the packing, and we were staying in the apartment for that night. The kids in their beds, mom and dad in ours, and Jared and I on the air matres. Jared had to leave the packing fun before we were done to pick up his parents from the airport, but it worked out for the best. They are such a calming influence in our lives. I am so grateful for them. The packing went so smoothly, I don't know how we would have done it without all of the help we received. I said goodbye to all the men that had come out to help us. I then had to move the truck to the street till Jared got home. That was scary, I think I drove it about 2 miles an hour, no joking. After the long drive, which would normally take only 2 min Ed and I went inside and hung out with Andi and almost ate a whole pizza together. After the Fichers left I got the house the rest of the way clean, which wasn't too hard and made up the air bed. Jared, mom and dad got to the apartment not to long after I was all done and just resting on the matres. Miley and Nate had gone to bed about 2 hours before then. But before Nate went to bed he asked me if he could stay up till Grandma and Grandpa got there. Their flight didn't get in till 8:55 pm so I knew they wouldn't be to the apartment till late, sometime after 10 but I told him he could stay up. What the heck. Well Andi then told me later that he said he was a little sleepy, and that he was just going to go and lay down for a little while, he then asked if she thought that his grandma and grandpa would wake him up when they got there. She told him she was sure they would and then he hit the pillow and was out. He is such a cute boy. Andi also told me he was so sad when the guys came and started taking things, not because they were taking them but because he wanted to help so bad and he couldn't. I felt so bad, he is such a big helper and loves to be a part of it all, but it would have been to hard and dangerous to have him helping. But Andi did such a great job at taking care of them and keeping them happy. Thank you Andi. Jared and Dad took the truck over to park the truck in front of the Fichers, for safe keeping, another blessing. So while they were gone I got Miley up so she could eat her and so she could see mom. She was so funny she kept looking at mom. In fact she wouldn't stop looking at her. She wasn't smiling just looking at her intently. It was funny. Grandma also tried to tell Nate'o hi but her was so gone he never acknowledged her.

In the morning we all got up and Nate was so happy to see his grandparents. Jared and Dad went and got the truck and brought it back so we could finish packing it up. We slowly got the beds in and the rest of the stuff. We did really well, we only left behind our 2 computer chairs and Jared's old entertainment unit. Everything else fit thanks to Dad and his great packing abilities. Mom took such great care of the kids and Nate finally got to help bring things down to the truck which made him very happy. He also kept sitting in the truck, he was so excited that he was going to be able to ride in the truck with Dad and Grandpa. We got everything out and finished up any of the cleaning we had left and then packed up the car and off we went. Dad noticed that one of the tires on the trailer looked low so we went to the Chevron to fill it up. It was about noon when we left our apartment and headed over to the Chevron. We had hotel reservations in Paso Robles, which at the time I was thinking, what a waist to only drive 2 hours and then stop when it is so early in the day.

Well when we got to Chevron the boys noticed that the tire that was low had a slit in it all the way around. So we then proceeded to sit at Chevron and wait for Uhaul to come and look at it. 3 hours later they got there and changed the tire for us, then I was grateful that we only had to drive to Paso Robles.

Nate watching a movie while he waited, I sat and watched some of it with him.
Dad and Jared waiting.
Mom entertaining Miley with the quacking duck.
The hotel was so nice and we got some dinner at KFC. It was good to be able to take a shower and rest some after the last 2 days of loading and driving, I had bruises all over my legs, it was horrible. Jared and I watched some of "The Big Bang Theory," a TV show that is incredibly funny, and then we went to bed. We all slept great, in fact mom had to call us because our alarm clock didn't ring and our room was so dark we didn't realize the time. We wanted to get on the road about 7:30 but didn't till after 8. All in all the drive went well and the kids did really well. Mom was such a help to me and Miley, I don't know how I would have done it without her. She sat back with Miley a lot of the way. Grandma kept trying to persuade Nate to come and ride with us but he wanted to be in the truck. We did finally get him to join us in Barstow, only because he was having a mental melt down. But Grandma got him fixed and happy again in our car, and he actually took a much needed nap.
After many hours we made it to Vegas. Jared and I had taken the car and raced ahead in Primm, NV, so we could get to the leasing office to get the key to our house and to sign the final papers. We got to our new house at just after 6pm and we love it. Sydney and Megan, Jared's sisters, did us a great favor when they recommended it. At about 6:30 we had 4 wonderful men from the ward to help us move in and the Relief Society President. They were all such a big help and they made us feel so welcome. 3 hours later the truck was completely unpacked and we got the beds so they were ready to sleep in. We got the kids to bed and Jared took mom and dad to there hotel. Everything went so smoothly and we love our new house. Thanks to everyone who got us here and help so much.
Here is a picture of the front of our house.

If you look out of Nate's room this is what you see.
Here is Nate in the back yard, and him playing with his trucks. Everyday Nate tells me that he likes our new home, or that he loves his own room, or that he love the back yard. He has been such a help too. Every time I work on unpacking he is right at my side trying to help. I love our new home too.
Here is the view from our bedroom/over the back yard fence.

My other kids.

Here is Katie and Nate. Katie was Nate's babysitter and one of my young women girls. We all loved her so much and wish she and her family would just move here to Vegas with us. Nate always liked when Jared and I would go on a date because then he would have a date night with Katie. It is always nice to have someone that your kid loves and who takes great care of your kid to babysit...Thank you Katie.

Here are some of my primary kids....the others were practicing for the primary program so I couldn't get a picture with them. We have Sydney, Chelsea, me and Daniel. I really miss them.

Goodbye Beach!

Carmel River Beach...
One of our friends recomended this beach so for our last visit to the beach we thougth we would check it out. It was so beautiful even though it was cold. Nate played a little in the sand, and then we went down to the water to say goodbye. Nate kept running back and forth not getting wet but almost. It was intertaining untill a huge wave came in and I had to run out to grab him. We both got wet and since it was already cold we packed up and came back home. At least we did get some cute pictures before we left.

Jared promised Miley that we would bring her back to the beach when she gets a little older.

Open House and FHE Night.

Andi and Ed Ficher had an Open House, farewell party for us before we moved on Friday. It was awesome. I really didn't expect anyone to come, so it shocked me when so many people came. The food was amazing too, but of course it was, if you know Andi she is quite the chef, and goes all out. I really am glad for the time we had in Salinas and for the great friends we made, and the wonderful memories we will have forever with family, friends, and the wonderful ward. We have been blessed by all of you, Thanks.
Linda, and Molly.

Bishop Ficher...aka Dad... and Sister (Kris) and Brother Word.

Our Family.

The Jones. Janette, and Andi helped me so much in packing and cleaning and helping with the kids. Thank you both, I owe you.

Thank you Andi, and Ed (aka Mom and Dad in Salinas) for this wonderful farewell party. It was so nice to be able to say goodbye and see and talk to everyone who came. Thanks for making us feel loved.
Jared and Bishop Varney saying goodbye. The plate of goodies was actually the Bishops but he made Jared hold it so he wouldn't look like he was pigging out.

Monday night before we moved the Von Forell's invited us over for dinner. It was so good, pot roast and mashed potatoes, and then some apple crisp for desert. We had a wonderful time and we sure will miss them. The guys hung out in the living room and talked while watching TV. Jared watched Miley for the most part which was nice and Nate played with the kids, so I got to talk to Roxanne. It is aways nice to talk to a woman.

Jared, Miley, and Alex watching the Big Bang Theory. It is so funny, if you haven't seen it you need to. Jared always says, after we watch it, that he would be just like one of the guys on the TV series, if he didn't have me. It is so funny.

Dan and the thumbs up.

Brianne doing a little jig.

Nate and Taylor.

Roxanne making desert, (apple crisp) it was so good. I need the receipt.
