Here is Nate and Miley before we moved everything out of the house. Monday night.

We were able to get the truck one day early which was another miracle, we have already been blessed so much in getting ready for this move and in receiving the job. Tuesday night we had quite a turn out for help from the ward. We were able to get the whole house emptied and in the truck in 4 ish hours. Thanks everyone who helped. We left the beds in the house because mom and dad came out to help us with the drive and the rest of the packing, and we were staying in the apartment for that night. The kids in their beds, mom and dad in ours, and Jared and I on the air matres. Jared had to leave the packing fun before we were done to pick up his parents from the airport, but it worked out for the best. They are such a calming influence in our lives. I am so grateful for them. The packing went so smoothly, I don't know how we would have done it without all of the help we received. I said goodbye to all the men that had come out to help us. I then had to move the truck to the street till Jared got home. That was scary, I think I drove it about 2 miles an hour, no joking. After the long drive, which would normally take only 2 min Ed and I went inside and hung out with Andi and almost ate a whole pizza together. After the Fichers left I got the house the rest of the way clean, which wasn't too hard and made up the air bed. Jared, mom and dad got to the apartment not to long after I was all done and just resting on the matres. Miley and Nate had gone to bed about 2 hours before then. But before Nate went to bed he asked me if he could stay up till Grandma and Grandpa got there. Their flight didn't get in till 8:55 pm so I knew they wouldn't be to the apartment till late, sometime after 10 but I told him he could stay up. What the heck. Well Andi then told me later that he said he was a little sleepy, and that he was just going to go and lay down for a little while, he then asked if she thought that his grandma and grandpa would wake him up when they got there. She told him she was sure they would and then he hit the pillow and was out. He is such a cute boy. Andi also told me he was so sad when the guys came and started taking things, not because they were taking them but because he wanted to help so bad and he couldn't. I felt so bad, he is such a big helper and loves to be a part of it all, but it would have been to hard and dangerous to have him helping. But Andi did such a great job at taking care of them and keeping them happy. Thank you Andi. Jared and Dad took the truck over to park the truck in front of the Fichers, for safe keeping, another blessing. So while they were gone I got Miley up so she could eat her and so she could see mom. She was so funny she kept looking at mom. In fact she wouldn't stop looking at her. She wasn't smiling just looking at her intently. It was funny. Grandma also tried to tell Nate'o hi but her was so gone he never acknowledged her.

In the morning we all got up and Nate was so happy to see his grandparents. Jared and Dad went and got the truck and brought it back so we could finish packing it up. We slowly got the beds in and the rest of the stuff. We did really well, we only left behind our 2 computer chairs and Jared's old entertainment unit. Everything else fit thanks to Dad and his great packing abilities. Mom took such great care of the kids and Nate finally got to help bring things down to the truck which made him very happy. He also kept sitting in the truck, he was so excited that he was going to be able to ride in the truck with Dad and Grandpa. We got everything out and finished up any of the cleaning we had left and then packed up the car and off we went. Dad noticed that one of the tires on the trailer looked low so we went to the Chevron to fill it up. It was about noon when we left our apartment and headed over to the Chevron. We had hotel reservations in Paso Robles, which at the time I was thinking, what a waist to only drive 2 hours and then stop when it is so early in the day.

Well when we got to Chevron the boys noticed that the tire that was low had a slit in it all the way around. So we then proceeded to sit at Chevron and wait for Uhaul to come and look at it. 3 hours later they got there and changed the tire for us, then I was grateful that we only had to drive to Paso Robles.

Nate watching a movie while he waited, I sat and watched some of it with him.

The hotel was so nice and we got some dinner at KFC. It was good to be able to take a shower and rest some after the last 2 days of loading and driving, I had bruises all over my legs, it was horrible. Jared and I watched some of "The Big Bang Theory," a TV show that is incredibly funny, and then we went to bed. We all slept great, in fact mom had to call us because our alarm clock didn't ring and our room was so dark we didn't realize the time. We wanted to get on the road about 7:30 but didn't till after 8. All in all the drive went well and the kids did really well. Mom was such a help to me and Miley, I don't know how I would have done it without her. She sat back with Miley a lot of the way. Grandma kept trying to persuade Nate to come and ride with us but he wanted to be in the truck. We did finally get him to join us in Barstow, only because he was having a mental melt down. But Grandma got him fixed and happy again in our car, and he actually took a much needed nap.
After many hours we made it to Vegas. Jared and I had taken the car and raced ahead in Primm, NV, so we could get to the leasing office to get the key to our house and to sign the final papers. We got to our new house at just after 6pm and we love it. Sydney and Megan, Jared's sisters, did us a great favor when they recommended it. At about 6:30 we had 4 wonderful men from the ward to help us move in and the Relief Society President. They were all such a big help and they made us feel so welcome. 3 hours later the truck was completely unpacked and we got the beds so they were ready to sleep in. We got the kids to bed and Jared took mom and dad to there hotel. Everything went so smoothly and we love our new house. Thanks to everyone who got us here and help so much.

If you look out of Nate's room this is what you see.
Here is Nate in the back yard, and him playing with his trucks. Everyday Nate tells me that he likes our new home, or that he loves his own room, or that he love the back yard. He has been such a help too. Every time I work on unpacking he is right at my side trying to help. I love our new home too.
