Sydney is Here!

July 10-13th

We had a great visit with Sydney this last weekend. She came down to hang out with us, and her good friend Addie (who she use to work with when she lived down here). We had a great time playing Mario Cart, Wii Golf, Castle Crashers, Lego's, Star Wars guys, old maid, Go fish, Domino's, Disney Scene-It, Mario Party, and just hanging out together and talking. Sydney also was a big help with the kids on Saturday when we went to play Volleyball at the church with some friends. Then Saturday night she was able to hang out with Addie and her Hubby.

Here we are playing Mario Cart Sunday night before bed time. Nate kept telling us how good he is and how he was going to "win us all."

Miley and Nate love to hang out together for the most part, they are so cute together. Nate also thinks he needs to be in every picture, as you can see.

Happy 4th of July.

On the 4th we packed up from my Grandparents, said goodbye and then headed down to SLC to play with our friends. It's nice having friends down there to do some sports with.

We met at the park to play kick ball. We had a water slide at the end to slide into home. It was sort of cool at first and there was no way I was going to get wet. I'm not a real water fan in the first place, and then I'm a big booby when it comes to getting wet when it's cold. Thank goodness the sun came out after a while.

Dani was such a big help too, thanks so much for watching the kids so we could play. We had a lot of fun and it was nice to see some of the people we hadn't seen since Christmas time too.

After playing for several hours we just played on the slide and with the kids.

Miley and Uncle Mike. Mike is the only other guy besides Jared and Miley will go to and be happy with. She really doesn't like guys, they seem to scare her. She is ok if she can go up to them and talk to them, but she will not let anyone pick her up except Jared and Uncle Mike.

After all the fun at the park we went to Jared's parents house an had fun with poppers, snakes and fireworks. Megan was the Snake queen. Nate was throwing poppers at her though and she didn't really like that.

Grandma and Grandpa came over to say hi to. It was great seeing them. They stayed for dinner too.

We had a great time playing in the backyard too.

We enjoyed a wonderful dinner on the back porch.

Here Nate is sad because they were playing keep away from him, that's what he asked them to play with him, well he was upset because he couldn't get the ball from them, and "They weren't sharing with him," poor boy.

After dinner we went to the front yard to eat Popsicles and to play till it was dark enough to do fireworks.

Later to keep the kids entertained we got the wagon out and gave them a ride in circles in the drive way.

Megan was so good to do it for so long. Nate and Miley had a great time. Nate kept saying Miley was flying, and using her blanket as wings.

Nate got to do sparklers again too. Sydney and I enjoyed doing them with him too. I helped Miley with one. She liked to look at it more than holding it.

Some neighbors started doing fireworks and Miley didn't seem to mind them. She just looked at them, so we got the fireworks out mom had bought and Megan gave us a wonderful show. Nate really liked it and Miley watch for quite a while till she was to tired to care and I took her in for bedtime.

We had a wonderful 4th of July vacation.

In the morning we got packed and headed home real early, Jared had to work early Monday morning. The ride home was interesting since Jared had brused his tailbone sliding into 2nd durring the kick ball game and so I had to drive all the way home. And because it was the middle of the day when we did it we got to expeince a melt down by Miley. She fussed and screamed almost the entire last 2 hours of the trip, thank goodness we did make it home sane, barely. All in all it was a good trip. Hopefully next time we'll see my Mom and Step Dad.
