Now & Then

When we lived with mom and dad, when Jared was finishing his last year in school, one of Nate's and Grandma's favorite things to do together was to go out and mow the lawn together. Nate would sit on Grandmas lap and ride with her. Well, since we moved out here to CA Nate has missed doing that with his Grandma.

Now
While we were home visiting this last trip Nate got to mow with his Grandma again. Of course he is bigger and heavier, but they still had a blast. Grandma even let Nate steer on the straight areas. I think she is trying to get him interested in the thrill of driving at a young age. Watch out World.

The Bonfire

The night before we left mom & dads we had a big bonfire in there backyard and roasted hot dogs and then had smores. It was so much fun to hang out and goof around together. Everyones kids are getting so much older and so cute. It was fun. Nate loved playing with his 2nd cousins. Especially Jacqueline, she is his favorite. If he could he would follow her everywhere and mimic whatever she was doing. It's nice having Blake & Tina's family so close again. Having them at the parties brings such a liveliness, it's the best. We miss our families, it was such a treat to get this time with them.

The Friends we saw while in Utah

Here we are eating at IHOP with the Metcalfs before they drove home to AZ. It was good to have a Happy Bithday Breakfast with Steph. It was so good to see them and Sydney is the cutest little one. I told them we would take her off their hands, but no deal.

We sure do wish we live closer to these guys.

The Dinosaur Museum

We went to the Dinosaur Museum on our way down to SLC. Mom wanted to do one more fun thing with us before we had to say goodbye. They had done a ton of work since I was last here, and it was so cool. We got to see real dinosaur bones inside the museum, and then outside they had a bunch of statues of what the dinosaurs looked like. Nate loved it.

We walk around and checked everything out. Nate said about the dinosaurs, "they were scaring me," but he really liked it.

Here Jared is checking out the Tyrannosaurus Rex. I sure am glad that he was just bones.

It was a beautiful day.

Outside they had a little park area with some slides, tunnels and fun things to climb on. As you can see I chose the frog, since I have always liked frogs.

We tried to avoid this area as long as we could so that Nate would let us see as many of the dinosaurs as we could before being stuck at the slide area. Of course we couldn't keep him away from it forever.

I made Jared sit on the turtle... thought it would be cute. It is don't you think?

After we got Nate away from the park, we found a cool little place where you could take brushes and unbury dinosaur bones. Nate, Grandma and I got really into acting like we were paleontologists with our brushes, while Dad sat and watched us and rested by a volcano. Good resting spot...

I thought I might join in for a minute and rest from all the digging.

Here are Nate and Grandma...

Digging for Bones...

and Bones...

Look we found a Dinosaur that was about the size of Nate. I bet Nate would love to wrestle him. He has been really into wrestling lately, just ask his Grandmas, uncles, and aunts.

We had a great time at the Park. Thank you ma. After we were all done we went and got dinner at Jake's Shakes. It was so good. We ate as we drove to Jared's parents place where we had to say goodbye to my mommy. Nate gave Grandma a big hug, and said goodbye to one of his best friends.

At the Demings

Grandmas are very special. Nate will follow them everywhere. If he could he would have them around him every second or talk to them on the phone for hours dragging them around with him and getting them to do anything he wants. He is spoiled, but it's ok. That's what Grandmas are for. "Right," as Nate always says.

Nate loves his Grandpa Deming very much. They have a good time together. Dad got him Puff the Magic Dragon book, which came with a CD, and Nate loves to listen to it and sing along. It is so cute.

Here are the boys in front of Dad's truck. Its Dad, Jared (Mini Me) and Nate (Mini Mini Me). Hehe

Good Bye...
