Family sleep over, BYU and their bowl game....

BYU had there Bowl game down here in Vegas this weekend and so having many BYU fans in my family we had the honor of being the crash zone for my Grandpa, 2 uncles, 1 cousin, and my uncles mother.

Thanks right 5 adults in our house crashing on the living room and den's floors, on air matrices of course. They left for Vegas really early on Saturday because it has snowed really bad on Friday and they didn't know if it was going to slow them down or not. They arrived at our house at around 2:30pm. We had finished our Christmas fun and had time to clean it all up before they got to our house. We all hung out for 2 hours. My uncle Blake and his son Tyler had met Miley before when she was 2 weeks old, they came out to Salinas to see us for Amanda's graduation trip, but everyone else had never seen her before so it was exciting to see her with them. Plus they hadn't seen Nate for over a year and the boy grows like a weed. Well they all left for the game and enjoyed the game in the cold and to root for BYU.
While they were gone we watched part of the game until Nate threw up his dinner, he was acting all tired and said he wasn't hungry, but I just thought he was trying to get out of eating...so he could watch Wall-e, but I guess it was something else. The poor boy, I felt so bad, he hasn't thrown up since he was a baby, so he didn't understand what was happening. It freaked him out. I cleaned up while Jared went up with him and they watched Wall-e and then we got him to bed.

So the Game on Dec. 20, 2008 Las Vegas Bowl-Arizona 31, BYU 21. What a game. My family got to our house that night around 12:30am after going to the Harley-Davidson Cafe on the strip. They said the service was really slow and the food wasn't that good. In the morning they all claimed that they had slept good, I hope they really had.

We made some pancakes, bacon, and oj for everyone.

Then they packed up and got on the road. They where going to stop in St. Gorge to see Grandpa's sister and brother on the way home.

We just hung out as a family. We didn't want to bring Nate's sickness to the ward. That would be a wonderful Christmas present. I just hope no one else gets sick.

Although Miley was throwing up on me over and over yesterday, and we all have colds now...FUN. Here's hoping we all get better soon for Christmas. And now I am officially caught up on our Blog, so I am off to wrap more presents and to get some Christmas cards out. Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Our Wonderful Christmas!

Santa Claus came to our house early...
After saying goodbye the The Metcalf's we walked into the house to see that Santa had come while we where sleeping, he just waited to use his magic after our friends had left.

Nate was so happy and surprised to see that Santa had brought him a bike, helmet, and pads to keep safe. He also had our stockings all filled with goodies and small toys.

Miley got a My Little Pony and a glow bug that sings to her, also some small toys in her stocking.

To open our gifts we put Miley in her Bumbo and she had a great time hitting them and banging on the presents. She was so cute and was so happy about what she got for Christmas. It was such a gift to us to see both Miley and Nate enjoying opening their presents and how happy they both were.

Jared brought the gifts out for us to open...and we all took turns opening our gifts.

I couldn't have asked for a better Christmas...we are so blessed.

My Boys.

The Girls.
Merry Christmas to all of you too.

Rocking around the Christmas Tree with the Metcalf's!

Justin, Stephanie, and Sydney came to spend the night with us Friday. They were on their way home for the Holidays. We had a good time together. We ate lasagna for dinner and then exchanged gifts. After we got our kids to bed we played Rock band, it was Justin's first time, but I believe he is a rocker now. We had a lot of fun playing together. We had to get to bed though because Santa was coming to our house that night since we are leaving for home on Wednesday.
In the morning we made some pumpkin spice muffins, eggs, and bacon with OJ. It was good.

It was great seeing all of you and we can't wait to see you all again.

After we said goodbye to the Metcalf's we went inside to see that Santa had used his magic while we were outside to bring us Christmas early.

Snow in Vegas?

Snow in Vegas, that's right. Actually we have had 2 days of snow fall, once on the 15th and then again on the 17th. The first snow fall started at about 7:30am on the 15th and it snowed all day long and was still snowing when Jared got home. Nate wanted to go out and play in the snow all day so finally at around 3 we went out in our front yard and built a snowman. We where trying to wait till Miley took a nap but she wouldn't. Yes we did this on our turf grass next to our house and yes I did it while holding Miley. She was having a good time, or she was shocked, I'm not sure which, but she didn't wine at all and she was really good. We all had a great time in the snow. The next day our snowman was just a small pile of snow and all the snow melted by the afternoon. On the 17th it started to snow around 2 pm and it snowed really hard. Buy night time we had about 2 and a half inches of snow again. Of course it was gone again the next day, in the afternoon, for the most part. I keep hearing that it never snows here or very rarely, but the evidence so far shows otherwise to me. :)

The kids looking at it snow in the morning.

Nate in our backyard, he really wanted a picture of him and his wagon and trucks in the snow.

Nate and Miley Fun

I took Miley's long hair before I cut her comb over and did a curly cue on top of her head.

Nate loves building with his Lego's, he builds something new everyday. Mostly buildings or ships for his Star Wars guys.

Zoo Lights Fun.

11/27/08 Mom and Dad took us to the Hogle Zoo for the Zoo Lights. It was so much fun and the weather was wonderful...it was 43 * out side. The Kids had such a great time too. It was cool to see all of the lights, they even moved and there was great Christmas music too.
We got Nate a elephant light and a light necklace. Miley loved it when Nate would take the elephant and shake it, she laughed and laughed and got all of us giggling too.
