Party Time...

Saturday Night we went to a party with Jared's friends. Kristina and Justin had it at there home. This was the first time in many years that we had all seen everyone and there kids. It was so fun, and cool to see everyone. We had a pot luck dinner and then just talked, hung out, and caught up with each other, while the kids played.

Here is Megan's son, Ben 8 months, my daughter Miley 7 months, and Cami's daughter Sophie 9 months old. They sat and played with each other for a long time it was cute.

Nate enjoyed playing with the kids, he was a little out of control. We need to get him around kids more often so he's not so excited and over stimulated when he is around other kids.

Visiting Grandma Bennett

We went over to Great Grandma Bennett's house to see how she was.

Nate loves it over there since Grandma takes care of Mia and Cole, Jared's cousins kids, all the time, she has a ton of kids toys for him to play with.

It's always nice to see Grandma, and to see the kids with her. Nate got gift card to McDonald's and was so excited to use it, and we got one to Applebees.

Playing in the Snow.

Saturday after Christmas, due to the amount of snow that came down on Christmas day, we had fun in the snow. Nate was so excited to get to play in snow, since he only gets to do it when we come up to Utah or on very odd days in Vegas :). Friday we had gone out and bought him all new winter stuff to play in the snow....boots, snow pants, gloves, and a hat.

Jared and his brother, Mike, made a small hill from the porch down for us to sled on. I know it might not look like much, but when you don't get to play in snow ever it was quite fun.

Nate had a great time and luckily he wasn't heavy enough to hit the wall.

It was fun to go with Nate, he is such a good boy, and so full of life.

Jared had fun too. We were going to make a snow man and a fort, but the snow was powder, great for skiing, but not for packing, so we just enjoyed our small hill and playing together.

Christmas at the Deming's

New Years Eve.

We drove up to Utah Wednesday after Jared's work. It was a nice drive, luckily we were just ahead of the big snow storm so for the most part the roads were nice. We got to the Deming's just after 9:00 pm. It was so exciting to see everyone, and Nate was so happy that Santa was scheduled to stop by that night too at Grandmas and Grandpas house. Miley loves being around Grandma and her Aunts because they spoil her with attention and she is almost always being held by someone.

Christmas morning, Nate got up and was so excited to go downstairs and see what Santa had left him and Miley. He got these cool Star Wars guys and Miley got a cute little baby doll.

Jared, Nate, Miley and I also got spoiled by mom, dad and the kids. We has such a wonderful and magical morning.

Sydney and mom had a good time helping Miley open presents, and Nate enjoyed helping grandpa hand out presents, in between opening all of his.

Here is Miley and Sydney. I love this new face Miley makes. She does it when she finds something to be silly or weird. She has such a cute personality. She is defiantly more reserved than Nate, and has to warm up to people. But once she knows you she is very happy, smiley, and so cute when she talks to you.

Miley really liked her new pink ball, it plays music while different shapes take turns lighting up. Jared in his Guitar Hero PJ's. We have a family tradition, passed on from Jared's family, that on Christmas Eve everyone gets a new pair of PJ's that they get to wear that night. It's nice to have new PJ's.

Then Christmas afternoon we went over to Great Grandma and Grandpa's house to wish them a merry Christmas, to eat, and visit.

After Great Grandma's and Grandpa's we went back home and hung out as a family.

We had a very Merry Christmas. It is so nice to live so much closer so we could be with our families for the Holidays.

Family sleep over, BYU and their bowl game....

BYU had there Bowl game down here in Vegas this weekend and so having many BYU fans in my family we had the honor of being the crash zone for my Grandpa, 2 uncles, 1 cousin, and my uncles mother.

Thanks right 5 adults in our house crashing on the living room and den's floors, on air matrices of course. They left for Vegas really early on Saturday because it has snowed really bad on Friday and they didn't know if it was going to slow them down or not. They arrived at our house at around 2:30pm. We had finished our Christmas fun and had time to clean it all up before they got to our house. We all hung out for 2 hours. My uncle Blake and his son Tyler had met Miley before when she was 2 weeks old, they came out to Salinas to see us for Amanda's graduation trip, but everyone else had never seen her before so it was exciting to see her with them. Plus they hadn't seen Nate for over a year and the boy grows like a weed. Well they all left for the game and enjoyed the game in the cold and to root for BYU.

While they were gone we watched part of the game until Nate threw up his dinner, he was acting all tired and said he wasn't hungry, but I just thought he was trying to get out of eating...so he could watch Wall-e, but I guess it was something else. The poor boy, I felt so bad, he hasn't thrown up since he was a baby, so he didn't understand what was happening. It freaked him out. I cleaned up while Jared went up with him and they watched Wall-e and then we got him to bed.

So the Game on Dec. 20, 2008 Las Vegas Bowl-Arizona 31, BYU 21. What a game. My family got to our house that night around 12:30am after going to the Harley-Davidson Cafe on the strip. They said the service was really slow and the food wasn't that good. In the morning they all claimed that they had slept good, I hope they really had.

We made some pancakes, bacon, and oj for everyone.

Then they packed up and got on the road. They where going to stop in St. Gorge to see Grandpa's sister and brother on the way home.

We just hung out as a family. We didn't want to bring Nate's sickness to the ward. That would be a wonderful Christmas present. I just hope no one else gets sick.

Although Miley was throwing up on me over and over yesterday, and we all have colds now...FUN. Here's hoping we all get better soon for Christmas. And now I am officially caught up on our Blog, so I am off to wrap more presents and to get some Christmas cards out. Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
