Who needs money anyways!

Well we are doing good. I did have a crazy experience the other day dropping Nate and his friend Trevin off at school last Thursday. At the school I stopped our SUV and got out of the vehicle, of course leaving it on so the ac was on to keep Miley cool while I opened to doors for the boys. Well Trevin was in the back drivers side so I opened his door first (it is child locked so he couldn't open it himself), then I went around to the passenger side front door, where Nate was, so I could give him a hug and tell him goodbye and to have a good day and to listen to his teacher. After saying goodbye and never even leaving the car (I could touch it the whole time), I walked over to the drivers door and opened the door, or should I say tried to open the door. As Nate was getting out he must have hit the lock button and all the doors, and back hatch had locked. That’s right my little girl was locked in the car with it running, which here is Vegas is a good thing because it is too hot to be in a car if it is off. So I called Jared and asked for him what had happened and to please get some help to me as soon as it was possible. See we don't have another key so he couldn't just come out and unlock the door for me so he called a lock smith and they said they would be out to the school in 10 to 15 min...Well Miley had already been in the car for 10ish min by that time. She kept saying and signing please over and over and begging me to open the door and get her out. I was trying to keep her happy so she wasn’t panicking, like I was inside, by playing peek-a-boo, and making silly faces. It was so hard not to just break a window so I could get her out and hold her. Well on of the men in the ward was kind enough to hang out with me as I waited for the lock smith...he was also trying to keep her happy. The last 5 to 10 min she was crying and getting really upset. Finally the lock smith got there and within 2 min had the door open. The whole fun ended up costing $135.00. I couldn't believe he charged us so much, but I was grateful that the door was unlocked and he had rushed over, so I couldn't complain to the guy. So much fun...later we found out that AAA would have come out and opened the door for free and we have triple A...the things I learn. 1. Don't get out of the car unless I take the keys or unroll my window, even if it will only be 30 sec...a lot can happen in 30 seconds. 2. Don't call a lock smith own Triple A and have them come out...you'll save a ton of money. 3. A cell phone can save a life, I was grateful I could call Jared right then and get help asap. And 4. If you are a woman, some men will take as much money from you as they can. The guy quoted Jared $45.00 on the phone; I didn't know that at the time so when he charged $135.00 I didn't argue I just paid it. I hope none of you have to go threw something this fun, or should I say scary.

Nate and Miley's Halloween Costumes for this year.

So Nate is going to be Darth Vader one last time. I know Star Wars again. I'll be amazed if he ever chooses something that isn't from Star Wars. He is really excited and wants to put on his costume as much as I will let him. I'm sure he wont fit in this costume ever again for Halloween after this year. Hopefully he wont grow much in the next month and a half because it fits him snug now.

Miley is going to be a witch. A good witch of course, I mean look at her she is so pretty that she couldn't be a bad witch. So this is the costume we finally decided on and bought for her. I hope we'll be able to get her to wear the hat, it is so cute. We'll see. You know her and Hats!

I wish Miley would wear Hats!

So I really wish Miley would wear hats. No matter what she wont allow a hat on more than 15 min, that's if I lucky enough to keep it on her head even that long. Saturday I tried to have her wear this so cute hat I bought from a friend in Salinas (Heather), because it finally fits her and is supper cute. But unfortunately it only stayed on for like 14 min...I was starting to think she was actually going to leave it on...Right! We did get these cute pictures while it was still on. Thanks Jared for getting these pictures before the hat attack started, and ended with Miley hat less once again, and me supper sad :(. LOL

I love my Kids!

I love my two kids so much. They bring me so much joy and Happiness. I learn so much by being their mother. And they keep me so busy. I love it when they are happy and enjoying life, there isn't anything better than that. I love my hubby, Jared, too. I am just so blessed. Thanks to all my family

near and far,but especially thank you Jared for being my husband and best friend and more, and thanks for the 2 kids you have blessed me with. I love them both with all I have, and I'm so greatful for both of them and you. And thanks to my kind Heavenly Father for all mentioned above and for the gospel in my life. My cup runnith over, and my heart is full. I am truly happy, and greatly blessed. I love my life and my Sweet Family! How many people can say that....

Farewell Justin!

We got to hang out with the whole Metcalf clan, before Justin gets deployed this fall, on this Tuesday and then Wednesday morning (before they headed up to Utah for his last few weeks he has here in the US). Miley and I picked them all up from the airport Tuesday late morning and we went to Sam's Club and ate pretzels, and hot dogs for lunch. Sydney also got to pick if she wanted the Cinderella dress from the Disney store or the one from Sam's Club...of course she wanted the Disney one.

We had home made pizza Tuesday night and then had fun just hanging out and talking with one another. Then on Wednesday we said our goodbyes. Thanks for stopping by and seeing us. Justin, Stephanie, and Sydney, we want you, and others like you, to know that we appreciate your sacrifice and service to us and our country. Please be safe and listen to the Holy Ghost, you'll be in our prayers and thoughts. Love the Deming's.

Our last days with Steph and Sydney

Tuesday after we picked Nate up from school, and Miley took a little nap we went over to Tule Springs to have some fun with the kids. We would go there more often, but you have to pay $6 to get in. Well we brought some bread, which next time I'll bring even more since we all had such a great time feeding the birds there.

Here is the birds going crazy over a big piece of bread Nate threw to them before I showed him to break smaller pieces.

We found out that the peacocks and ducks would even eat right out of your hands, which was quite fun. Nate was a little skittish about them eating right out of his hands. He would jump away from them, scarring them a little, when ever they got one out of his hand, that is if he didn't jump away from them before they even got close enough to get the piece of bread from him.

Miley, on the other hand didn't understand that the bread was for the birds, not her. She would think about throwing the bread to them but would always change her mind and take the piece and put it in her own mouth.

There was so many peacocks too, and they weren't scared of us at all.

The babies sure had grown since last time when we came here in the spring with mom.

So after a while of feeding the birds we were going to head over to the horses, goats, and chickens area, when we turned around to get the stroller and here is what we found, lol, there was a bunch of peacocks checking out the stroller looking for food. I don't think they wanted a ride, I should have asked them.

Here's our white peacock friend again...he was a little more stand-offish then the others. We went to see the chickens next, Miley really liked them and Nate kept acting like a chicken and trying to make their noises. He is so funny.

These chickens always remind me of my pet chickens. Good times!

The goats were next. Below I got a picture of two of my good friends, Steph being one of them and Billy the goat the other. Billy is always so friendly and always comes out to say hi to me.

Here is Nate's horse, or at least the one that he got to ride last time we were here. Thank goodness he had lost his winter coat, unlike last time.

The horses were so pretty, of course I love horses so I'm a little bias. They are such beautiful, graceful, and magical animals if you ask me.

Bob here, at least that is what we called him, followed us around where ever we went. He was really friendly, or hungry, or both. He was really gentle and sweet, he even had to say hi to Miley.

I got to feed Bob and some of his friends, Bog is the horse above Miley.

After we said goodbye to Steph's cowboy we walked over to the ponds to feed the ducks the rest of the bread we brought.

Miley had to stay in her stroller for this. She would have dived right into the water to get close to the ducks otherwise, and I didn't really want to get wet.

We had to keep our eyes on Nate and Sydney too. We started out with 2 or 3 ducks, and before we knew it we had a ton of them, begging and squawking for food.

This big fellow and his friend were the loudest and most demanding of all the birds. It was so funny to here them begging for more bread.

And here is Nate begging for some crackers from Steph, because he had used up all of his bread and thought she owed him some crackers.

Here is Miley saying Please over and over in sign language, begging for more bread. She says Pees, Pees, Pees, while she signs please, it is supper cute and I have a hard time not giving her exactly what she wants when she does this. It's super cute!

As we were leaving the area were we were feeding the ducks, the Three Amigos swam acrossed the pond to where we were leaving, got out of the pond and came right up to us honking for food. They wouldn't take no for an answer.

They even asked, or begged, by flapping their wings at us. It was funny.

We kept walking and they kept following us.

They where very persistant, and it did pay off for them. Steph found them some crackers and they ate out of her hand, they even let her pat them on their backs.

In the meantime Sydney had a blast being able to push Miley around in the stroller. Her and Nate took turns doing this.

Miley just love walking around, checking everything out. It was so fun to have her out, able to walk around, have fun, and to see the twinkle in her eyes as she explores the world around her. She loves the outdoors and animals. She can't get enough of animals. It will be fun to take her to the zoo next year. I can't wait to see the adventures she has in her life.

Nate is so cute and fun to hang around too. He has so much life and energy. He can talk you ear off if you let him. It's fun to get out with him were he can be crazy and have lots of room to run and be free.

We all had such a great time playing at Tule Springs. Feeding the birds and animals, and walking around in such a beautiful place, with great company.

Wednesday we said our goodbyes and I took Steph and Sydney to the airport so they could fly down to see family and to meet Justin when he flew in to Arazona on Friday. We had a great time and can't wait to see you next Tuesday with Justin.
