Miley Leia Deming

Hi all, this is Jared. This is one of the rare times where I am actually posting to this blog instead of Rena, but circumstances are such that she's not able to post at the moment :-). I'm sure you all know what that means. Today was a really wonderful day. Rena gave birth to Miley Leia Deming at 4:07pm PDT. She is 20 inches long and weighs 7lbs 7oz. She has been very mild mannered thus far, only managing a few whimpers when she was born. Otherwise she has been very content. She has just a bit of brown hair and can't seem to keep her hands out of her face, just like in her ultrasound pictures.

Both mother and daughter are doing well. I took Nate and Grandma Smart (Nancy) over to visit this evening, and Nate said that she looked "so cute!" and kept snuggling his head into her. Both Rena and Miley should be coming home tomorrow afternoon. It's a relief and a blessing to finally have Miley here and we couldn't be happier. Wish more of you could be here in person to hold her. I had forgotten what it was like to have such a little child in my arms. I don't know quite how to describe it, but its like holding a small piece of heaven in your arms. Anyway, I'm sure Rena will post more pictures and details as soon as she can. In the meantime, I've put up these pictures to give you a first look.

The End is Near!!!

Friday I'm going to be a mommy, again. We will be induced at 6:30. So here's hoping all goes well, and fast. Here are some pictures of Miley's wall in Nate and Miley's room. Nate and I just finished it today. All but Miley's board, but that will have to wait.

And this is her little bed.

Thanks for all the help and kindness; we'll get some pictures posted of our larger family when we can.

Time Till the End...

The Deming Rock Band

Jared and Nate started there own little band last Thursday.
I got Jared Guitar Hero III for his anniversary gift, and gave it to him
early so just in case we went into labor on our anniversary he would
have at least a little fun before our big fun.
Nate ready to Rock with his Dad.
Look at my two awesome Boys.

Here is a little of the Rock concert...sorry it is so long, I actually cut it down a ton. Hope you like it. You'll have to pause the music on the blog if you want to here them. :)

Nates own Battle of Narnia!

So Jared and I went the other night to see Iron Man, which was really good, not for kids, but that is one of the reasons I'm glad we have a wonderful babysitter. That and I love getting out on a date with my hubby. Well one of the previews was for the 2nd Chronicles of Narnia, which looks really good. Anyways I thought to myself, I wonder if Nate would sit and watch it and like it. Well the first time I tried to see if he would watch the first movie it failed, he wandered away in the first few mins, but again it was like a year to a year and a half ago. So I decided to try it again. I can tell you it was a hit, after we watched it the first time, ya that's right the first time of the 4 times in a row, Nate got all of his farm animals and people and all of his Chevron cars he has gotten from Grandma and Pa Deming, and his Lego's, and made his own Narnia battle.
So here is the 2 sides, good and evil, ready for battle.
Also the Lego's is the castle for the good guys.
Good Guys!

Vs Bad Guys.

Nate then proceeded to watch the show and have his own battle as they battled in the movie. He has quite an imagination, I love watching him sometimes and seeing what he is going to create or imagine next. So if I make it till this weekend, with out going into labor, I think we will go and see the 2nd Narnia with him. Here's hopen, not sure which I'm hoping for the baby to come or to go to a movie with my little family one last time. I guess time will only tell. :)

The Baby Shower!

I had a wonderful time yesterday night at a baby shower some great friends had for me and our little Miley, that is if she still is a girl. So thank you Heather and Robin for throwing it for me and thank you all that came and made it a great, and fun night. We had great food and played a fun game. It was called What is Rena's Baby made of??? We had 35 statements listed that could represent some part of a baby's body, and you could only use the body part once. Here are some of them...see if you can figure them out. Later maybe I'll post the answers for you.
1. Box to keep tools in
2. Grown on a cornstalk
3. A type of Macaroni
4. A school child
5. Part of an apple
6. Used by carpenters
7. Weapons of war
8. Part of a clock
9. A type of orange
10. Part of a shoe
11. Place of worship
12. Weathercock
13. A clam
14. A saloon or cheap restaurant
15. Sometimes they buckle
Those were some of the questions asked. It was quite a cleaver game. I only got 23/35 so I didn't win, but I still got to go home with all the other gifts so all in all I'd say I won big time.
Here are the cute things I received...Miley will be so cute. I can't wait.
I'm so excited to have a little girl, and if she is a he,
heaven forbid he will be the prettiest little boy in town.
Nate is stoked too, he is such a big helper to me and I know he'll be a great big brother.

Thanks again to all who made last night wonderful, and for helping us in being prepared for this wonderful occasion. Love the Demings.

Mario Cart Fun

We are once again enjoying our Wii as a family. Nate bugs me all day long asking when daddy is going to get home so he can play the Wii. I've tried to convince him that we can play during the day just him and I, but he wont do it without his daddy. Its just not the same, he told me.

They are so cute together. I'm so lucking to have them both in my life. Now all I need is a little girl to balance us out in numbers.
