The Girls Visit!

We had a lot of fun with Mom and the Girls this last weekend. They all came out to Cali and hung out with us and then got us all set up for our little girl to come into this world. Here is some of the things we did. We played with Nates trains. We went to breakfast at our favorite resterant, we went to Santa Cruz to the Board walk and had fun on the rides and at the beach. We played the Wii, and went on a walk. We went to Gilroy and shopped for baby stuff, wow it is so fun to pick out cute little girl clothes. And we just hung out. Nate had a blast, and so did we.

Thank you for the fun and all the cute girl things. We love you all.

The Calls come to call....

Ben, Charity, Stewart and Hannah came and visited us this weekend. Ben had a conference in Monterey during the week, so on Friday we were able to have them come and stay with us over the night and to hang out. This was the first time we have seen them since Hannah was born, she is such a happy little girl and so cute. Stew has grown up quite a bit too. Nate was so excited to have them come over that he bugged me none stop, asking me over and over when they were going to come. I guess Stew had some of the same anticipation problems, he kept trying to leave the Hotel and get in their car to come. Kids are so funny.
Here is sweet little Hannah, with her Christmas gift. It was making her quite happy as you can see.
Okay, okay I know what you are thinking...Nate is huge. Well on Stew defence, Nate is 18ish months older then Stew and he came from 2 giant parents, where Stew came from 2 smaller parents. They are cute though.
See look at their Dads.
Hannah and mommy.
Saturday morning we went to our favorite breakfast joint called Firsh Awakenings. It is so good, and I mean SO GOOD. Rachel Ray from 40 Dollars a Day, on the food network, actually went to the one in Monterey, we are luck that the other one is in Salinas. It is always packed but defiantly worth the wait.
SO GOOD!
Nate and Stew loved there Mickey Mouse Pancakes too.
Later that day Ben read the boys a story, trying to get them to calm down and maybe take a rest....well lets just say it put the big boys out.
While the little ones wiggled on them.
See Hannah didn't need a nap. She was as happy as can be. After nap time we said goodbye and sent the Calls on there 6 hour drive back home. Such good memories, and we all had such a great time. Thanks again for coming, and spending time with us. We love you all.

Nate's wonderland!

Nate has quite an imagination. This is one of cities he constructed in his room...you should hear him explain what they are all doing, its so funny. When dad got home he wanted him to come in and see it, but in the process he crashed his Lego tower and was really sad. Dad of course came to the rescue and helped him build it back up. This is them after they got the city back up and functional. Wow my super hero's.

Walking the Dog.

So Nate has been sick with the flu since Friday night. I hate it when he is sick, it is so sad, and I feel so helpless. He is so sick of being sick that he wont lay down for long. Well this morning for starters he was coming to my room when he tripped and hit his head and gave himself a goose egg. Really we don't beat him...:). So after calming him down and giving him some pain medicine he was up and going again. He said he wanted to be like his Grandma Deming and walk his dog. So we rigged a leash out of his crochet snake and he put a rubber band on it for its dog tags and then he proceeded dragging his dog around the house. I asked him what his dogs name was and at first he told me Reno...which is the name of the dog his Grandma walks, but then he decided that he wanted his dogs name to be Doggie. I know what you are thinking so original. He wants a dog so bad, but that will have to wait till we have a house.

Nate and Doggie.
After there long walk I asked him if he knew why you walk your dog. He told me it was so they could get exercise. Yes that is one of the reasons you walk your dog I explained and the other is so they can go to the bathroom. He told me his dog didn't go outside, that he knew how to use the toilet. After he explained this to me he took doggin in the bathroom and Doggie went pee in the toilet. He makes me laugh.Nate, Doggie, Stitch, Kitty, and bear all chilled on the bed and watched some backyardigans after. Man I love being a mom.

28 Weeks

So we went to the doctors and got another ultrasound to make sure our little girl was doing good, and she is. Everything is looking good, she is healthy and strong. The one curious thing was that for the 3d shot she posed like the kid off of the Home Alone movies....
But instead of using her hand she tough she would do it with her foot. How cute!!! Its just so good to know that she is doing good and growing the way she should. Thank you to all of you who prayed and fasted with us. We love you all.

The Rest of Moms visit!

Well to start this post off I am going to apologize, for the non-stop pictures. I know there are alot, but there was so many I liked, and I just had to have these ones. So sorry...:).

As you can see we went out to the park and played some while Mom was here. She had gotten Nate an airplane and a parachute man to play with. It was a little windy for the airplane but we still had fun trying to get it to fly, especially the boys. Mom on the other had kept bombarding me with the parachute guy while I was taking pictures. I had to keep on my toes so I could duck at a moments notice.

After a while Nate couldn't ignore the beckoning call of the playground area. He absolutely loves parks and to play in the sand at the beach. Of course every kid he meets he instantly assumes they are his best friends and that they want to play with him, so parks can be a challenge too at times. He is very social, don't know who he got that from...hehe.

Me and Mom
On Sunday we were bad and instead of going to Stake Conference, we took a trip up to the beach at Rio Del Mar, which is south of Santa Cruz. It was cold at first but then it cleared up for a while and we enjoyed chilling our feet in the ocean as we looked for sea shells.
Nate looking for shells and rocks.
Daddy and son.
Nate and I made a sand castle, wow I didn't know it was so hard to make a sand castle while you were pregnant, but let me tell you it wiped me out. After mom came back from a long walk collecting shells we packed up and went home.
Monday we once again traveled up to Santa Cruz area so we could do the Boardwalk experence in Cali. We have walked around the boardwalk before, we've just never done the rides. Nate, Grandma, and Dad went on a bunch and had a good time.
I went on the only ride I could go on with Nate and it was fun. As we went around on the merry go round Nate was telling me a knock knock joke. It goes, "Knock, knock. Who's there. Ya. Ya who. Is that you there cowboy?" And then we would laugh and try and make our horses go faster.
Mom on the Board Walk
Nate and Dad on a ride. Tuesday we just hung out at the house for the most part and then on Wednesday we took Grandma to the airport and said goodbye. We hate saying goodbye, but it was wonderful to have mom out and we all had a wonderful time.

Valentines Day Fun

So we had a wonderful Valentines Day. My mom came into town and watched Nate while Jared and I got away to Carmel for a romantic getaway. It was so nice to have some time with my sweet husband. We picked my mom up at the airport around noon and then ate lunch at Arby's. Nate was very happy to have her here too. Then when we got home Jared and I split, and left Nate and Grandma to have there fun.
We stayed at the Quail Lodge Resort & Golf Club in Carmel, CA. We have stayed here before and loved it. We could look out from our Suite to the 14 hole, and the sunset here is so beautiful. It has a very large screen plasma screen tv, dvd player, and a huge bathroom. After check in we were walking to our suite and enjoying the view and flowers and the idea of being away when, we passed the room we had stayed in before and realized we were going to be staying just 2 suites down from there. The next suite had all of its shades opened, the ones in its big bay window area, the front glass door window and the other front window. Well of course both of us looked in and yep guess what we saw. I don't know what this man was thinking. Anyways we had a full back side view of him NAKED....aaaahhhh. We both turned our heads quick and went straight to our suite. So now we have other special memories, oh yeah.
Well besides that wonderful moment, the get away was wonderful. As you can see below this is a front shot of our suite. Lots of windows....well we made sure we kept our shades closed. Haha
In the morning Jared and I drove down to Carmel and had breakfast at the Cottage Restaurant which was amazing. We used our gps unit to find it...I love having this little thing that tells me where to go. We don't get lost, yeah, and Jared loves playing with his little toy even if we know where we are going. So our Valentines day was great. Thank you Mom, and Jared.
