Christmas Eve Party with my Family #4

We had a great Christmas Eve party at my mom's house. We had a mystery dinner. It was a lot of fun, thanks again mom for doing this. So if you don't know what a mystery dinner is, what we do is make a bunch of different foods and then curtain off the kitchen and make a mystery dinner menu. Each food, drink, utensil etc...have a different name...like Melting snow man = mashed potatoes and gravy, each person has like 25 things to choose from and 4 to 5 meals. So you might get a fork, some carrots, some beanny weenies, and a napkin on your first meal, and then the next could be jello, mashed potatoes & gravy, a drink and a tooth pick... The trick is after the first course everything, that is right everything is taken away from you so no more fork for the rest of the night, and as you can see from the second course you might have no way of eating your food. So it makes a night of fun and lots of laughter.
We were nice to Nate and Stockton and we let them have a constant fork.

Here is one of Russell's meals...as you can see no utensils to use.

We had a great time...after we were all done, I did it all to my mom, while everyone went into the kitchen and got more of what ever they wanted to eat.

Here is Julie taking out someones choices...see the 2 drinks...lol.

Julia had a good time too, she is Julie and Sean's foreign exchange student from Germany I think. She is a really nice girl.

In between courses some people even doodled on the table cloth.

Poor Sephy fell asleep before the meal was even out to her. She took a good nap through it all, so did Miley but she was in her bed.

Sean and Julie having a good time.

Nate and Alexis hanging out.

Dani and Amanda.

My mom having her 4 course meal and, Tina and Blake.

Sephy and Miley after it was all said and done having some fun with Nichole and Julia.

We had a little Christmas skit and then enjoyed each others company.

My man and his little girl.

Chris and Katie having fun.

It was a wonderful Christmas Eve.

Blake and Tina's family saying goodbye. Thanks again for the great time and for all your hard work mom.

Swapping Gifts, Our Christmas Trip #3

Swapping Gifts with my Siblings, Christmas Eve night we swapped gifts as sibling's and step siblings. It was a lot of fun. We drew name for one of our Siblings and then had a gift exchange.

This was our first time doing this, and I really liked it. I hope everyone else did too.

We started with the youngest first, so Neal opened his gift from Mike G (my brother).
Then Neal had Stephanie....

Stephanie had Russell...

Russell had Chris G (my other brother)...

Chris G had Jared (my handsome hubby)...

Jared had Andy...

Andy had Mike G...who wasn't there...so I gave Little Chris his gift from me...

And Little Chris had me. It was fun all being in the same room...that never happens, so to me that was a small miracle. It was wonderful doing this, and I hope we can do it again next year.

Our Christmas trip #2

The kids had a great time with Grandma and grandpa's on our trip.

Steph and Sydney even came up and hung out. We had to keep them over night due to the bad weather, but we were happy to have them around longer.

The kids had fun playing with each other and Nate even called Sydney his cousin, which in a way she is, Steph is like my sister.

Sephy, Sydney, Nate and Miley.

Nate really liked helping Grandma in the kitchen.

He loves to cook. We also had a great visit with my Dad and Suzie...and ate amazing chili.

Nate loved his transformer, and Miley loves her new baby and bathtub too.
Thank you for the wonderful night of fun and food. We love you.

Our Christmas Trip Home #1

Nate, Miley and Sephy had a great time together, and aren't they all so cute.

We had a great Christmas vacation. We started our trip by going up to Cache Valley and visiting with my family. We were able to hang out at my mom's house.

We got to see my Grandma Gilden. She is such a sweet lady, and I just love seeing her.

The kids had a fun time playing around her house.

We also went up to my mom's work and said hello to Grandma and Linda, our good friend.

It was good to see old friends and for the kids to hang out with Grandma.

We did run into an issue when we tried to leave we came out to a flat back tire. We ended up having to get 4 new tires, Merry Christmas. At least it happened when we were parked so everyone was safe, what a blessing.
