Cooking class, Swimming, and 24th of July.

This week cooking class was at our house. I taught the kids how to make homemade pizza. First we made some little English muffin pizzas that we could eat for lunch later and then we started rolling out the dough. The kids did really good and I think they had a good time. They put on the toppings they wanted and after it was all done they got to eat their little pizzas and play out in the backyard. I think the kids enjoy the time they have together and hopefully they are learning how to cook some too.

Nate is getting better at swimming. Miley also enjoys hanging out with the kids.

Nate took this picture of me getting dinner ready on night.
We had a wonderful time celebrating the 24th of July with our Stake. They had a big celebration with food and some pioneer games. We got to hang out with some of our favorite people. The Cruz's let us share their blanket while Jared and Dave drove back home to get our camp chairs. Nate hung out with the Caceres's, his favorite family. They are 3 of the girls in his cooking class. He had a great time.
Here is Amber, Sadie, me and Miley.
On the right is Dave, Nate, and Jared. (Below) Dave, Eric, and Sage.

Here is just a picture of Jared and the kids playing on the Xbox together. They love playing with their Daddy.

I Fall up Stairs!

So most normal people fall down stairs. Well I need to confess, I am not normal, I fall up stairs! I do it often, unfortunately. Well the other day I was running up the stairs as fast as I could and clipped my big toe on the edge of the stair. OUCH it hurt so bad. I thought maybe I had broken it. I just sat there on the landing area of our stairs and wanted to scream, but I just said ouch and held in all the yelling. I didn't want to upset Miley. She startles easily and I didn't want to have to make her feel better when really I was hurting. Well this is what it looks like now after several days of the incident. It actually is starting to look better, so I thought I better get a picture of it before it was all gone.

Gross huh. Here is Nate being a monkey. We always sing 5 little monkeys jumping on the bed...so he thought he would be one of the monkeys here. Luckily he didn't fall of the bed and bump his head. What a cute monkey!

Miley is now starting to talk a lot as I said earlier. Well here she is talking with her hands and trying to tell her daddy something. She says the same thing over and over. I'll have to record it sometime. It is so cute. She is also trying to climb up on everything. So soon I'll have 2 little monkey's jumping on the bed.

Cooking class!

Nate is in a cooking class this summer with some of the other kids in our ward. He is the only boy with 5 girls in the class. We are taking turns, as their mothers, to teach a cooking class every Wednesday this Summer. We have had 2 classes so far. This last class was at the Caceres's house. The kids learned how to make a chicken casserole for their families. So they made us dinner, Yeah. They also made these 4th of July pinwheel graham cracker treats for lunch. They were all very good.
Here is the bunch...Nate, Mandolyn, Haley, Mikayla, Annjillene, Evaleah.

The kids have a great time, and so do the Mothers...

And they always enjoy playing with each other afterwards. This next week it's my turn to do it. I'm going to teach them how to make home made pizza. Wish me good luck!

Park Time, Swimming lessons, and Dishes!

July 14th-17th

We had a great time at Park day this last week. Nate always loves playing with all of the kids. Miley is now at the age where she likes to climb up on things and loves to talk and talk and talk, especially to her daddy. Nate had fun running around with his squirt guns and taking turns letting others use them too.

So I was talking to Nate the other day and he informed me that he was "A Ladies Man." I'm not quite sure how to take that. He loves being around girls. In fact he seems to get along with them better than most boys. He also told me that he thought it would be quite nice to kiss a girl. I think we are in trouble when he goes to Kindergarten. We'll see soon.

So as we are leaving the park I see this....My little Ladies Man. He was trying to figure out how he could hold another girls hand too, but I had to let him down and explain that he only has 2 hands. He was sad at first but then he realized he was holding two other babe's hands so life was good.

Nate has also had his first swimming lessons this week. He is doing pretty good. Jaycee his instructor is really good. He has next week too to try and get better and learn how to swim. He has lessons for 30 min and then 15 min of free time to play. He really likes playing with the kids during their free time.

Free time!

This is a new thing Miley is into lately. She love helping with the dishes...and then crawling into the dishwasher while telling me all about what she is doing. Jared keeps saying that he is going to have to learn to speak up, Miley is already showing signs of non stop talking and with Nate and I he has a hard time sometimes getting a word in edge wise. I think he is right!
Nate is also in a cooking class with all girls...I'll post some picture soon.

Sydney is Here!

July 10-13th

We had a great visit with Sydney this last weekend. She came down to hang out with us, and her good friend Addie (who she use to work with when she lived down here). We had a great time playing Mario Cart, Wii Golf, Castle Crashers, Lego's, Star Wars guys, old maid, Go fish, Domino's, Disney Scene-It, Mario Party, and just hanging out together and talking. Sydney also was a big help with the kids on Saturday when we went to play Volleyball at the church with some friends. Then Saturday night she was able to hang out with Addie and her Hubby.
Thanks Sydney...

Here we are playing Mario Cart Sunday night before bed time. Nate kept telling us how good he is and how he was going to "win us all."

Miley and Nate love to hang out together for the most part, they are so cute together. Nate also thinks he needs to be in every picture, as you can see.

Thanks for coming and hanging out with us Syd. We all love you.
