Happy Mothers Day

I had a wonderful Mother's Day. I feel so blessed to be the Mother in my cute family. I am grateful for the time I have each day with my 2 adorable kids and my amazing husband. What a Blessed and Eternal Role a Mother has, and I am so lucky to have that blessing. I would like to thank my Heavenly Father for giving me this blessing, Jared for helping me become a mother, and always encouraging me and for all his help, and for my 2 kids who teach me, love me, and bring me constant joy.

Mother's Day begun with donuts in bed and a diet coke, my kind of breakfast. Nate brought up the food and my mother's day card and told me he loved me and so he was serving me this delicious breakfast. So cute. Jared brought me my diet coke, a card, and donuts for him and Nate. It was so good to be with them.

We got ready for church. Jared bought me 2 new skirts and 3 new tops, they are all so cute and he was so good to get a babysitter Friday so we could go out without the kids to dinner and then to shop for these things for my mother's day/6th anniversary presents. So I got to wear one of my new outfits (as you can see above).

My cute kids were drawing on their doodle pads and playing with each other. They were being so cute and funny. It was making me so happy.

Miley is now starting to take 2 to 10 steps....yep walking time. She is learning so fast. She'll be walking before her first birthday for sure.

Here they are giggling with each other. Miley kept getting really close to Nate's face and rubbing her nose on his cheek. It was so adorable.

After Church, which was really good, we came home and ate Salmon, rice, beans, and sour dough bread. Miley was actually sleeping while we ate so I actually got a warm meal. What a wonderful mother's day gift. She was cranky when she woke up, as I tried to feed her. She had quite a fit, but after sulking on the kitchen floor and looking at me like I was so mean because I wasn't picking her up, I picked her up and she snuggled with me for quite a long time. I love it when my kids are cuddly.

We played Mario Cart as a family, it was fun.

Then we all went upstairs to read scriptures and say prays so we could get our kids to bed, and Jared and my 6th anniversary celebration could start :). That's right 6 wonderful years....

Happy Mothers Day to all the mothers in our life....Mom, Grandma's, Aunts, Cousin's, Friends, and Neighbors. We love you all.

What's in Ridgecrest?

You may ask, What's in Ridgecrest? Only one of Jared's best friends, brother in a way, and other half/that's not me and is a boy. Well there is Ben/Boey that fill that role. The Call's live down in Ridgecrest, CA. Friday Jared worked half a day from home and at 1 we were off driving in the desert to see the Call's. Ben and Charity had bought a home since the last time we had been down there, so it was exciting to be able to see it. It is quite nice...

Here is all of us as we drove down and back up to Ridgecrest. The drive was nice...not much to look at, but driving our new Escape was fun and very roomie. We were all comfortable. We enjoyed our visit Friday, and the kids had a blast, between eating, playing with trains, and talking, and brownies yum. Saturday morning Charity ran a 5k and we hung out at the park after so the kids could play. Man it was windy.

Then once we were home the kids and I played around and did some big puzzle and played with trains, while Charity showered and Jared and Ben dueled with light sabers on the Wii.

We also played some Mario Cart. Nate has gotten much better at it, he is actually able to complete the race all by himself. Stewart had fun, bumping into walls and running into the water over and over. We always had to wait for Nate to complete all 3 laps before we could go on, but we had a good time.

The kids also had a great time playing in the back yard. At least when they were getting along. Stew, liked it when he crashed into Nate, he would laugh and do it over and over, but when Nate did it to Stew he got upset and made quite a face as you can see.

It was good to have some friends to hang out with. Saturday night, after we got the kids to sleep, we played a fun game called Killer Bunnies...it was a lot of fun, but it is full of trying to attack each others bunnies and collecting carrots. Charity won in the end.

Sunday we went to church. Jared collected all of our stuff before church and had us almost all ready to pack the SUV when we got back. He is so amazing and such a help, I love him so much and appreciate all he does for us. Here are some pictures of all of us before Church....

All in all the kids did good, I had a hard time staying awake during part of church, partly due to the space heater in my arms that was passed out. Miley is so cute when she sleeps. After Church we got lunch ready, some pasta Ben makes that is really good, he went to Italy on his mission so he learned how to cook really good Italian food, and Jared and I also packed the SUV, so we would be ready to leave for home after lunch.

Miley did learn a couple of things while we were here. She can now take food and put it in her mouth, she could feed others but not herself before, and she took her first steps, at least first steps that weren't totally forced by me. I think she will be walking before her 1st birthday. She really enjoyed watching Hannah and Stewart, she always watches Nate at home, and trying to do what they were doing.

So after a wonderful lunch, and a great weekend we said goodbye and drove home. On the way home Jared got sick feeling for part of the way and Miley fussed so we turned her car seat so that she is now front facing. She seems to really like it. Thanks again guys for you hospitality and for the fun and memories. Thanks for the gifts too...you shouldn't have, but the kids do love them.
