Mom and Dad's visit and great help!

Mom and Dad came down to visit us Friday morning threw Monday afternoon. We had so much fun with them, and the kids just love their grandparents. Friday we hung out till lunch time when we met Jared at an amazing sandwich joint by his work, called Capriotti's. It has a sandwich that is called a Bobby that is turkey, like what you have for Thanksgiving, stuffing and cranberry sauce, it is so good. It was so good to see him and to hang out. After mom and dad went to check into their Hotel while Miley took a nap. Jared came home from work and we had Spinach pasta. We had a great time together. On Saturday we went car shopping. Our white car is almost dead and it has no AC so in the summer here it would be very unpleasant to drive. Jared has been looking at a couple Ford Escapes on line so we went to check them out. The dealerships that had the 2 that we wanted to look at were in the gedo of Vegas. It was quite an adventure. After looking at them both we decided to think about it. The one we really liked was going to action on Monday and was 4,000 less then blue book. Well we went to the Mall and talked it over and decided to get it. Yeah!
Mom, Nate, and I had a great time putting all of Nate's puzzles together while the Men went back to get the SUV. Nate really likes the SUV or as he calls it his truck.

So here is our new addition to the family....isn't she pretty. Thanks again Dad and Mom for your help with this fun adventure.

Nate and Mom also played out in the backyard. They were practicing catching the basketball and then Nate would shoot it. They were doing chest passes and bounce passes. Nate had a blast. We also went to the park for a while. We wanted to try and fly Nate's kite but there was no wind so we took his ball and parachute man to play with.

Miley had a good time eating her puffs and then playing in the grass, while Nate wrestled with Grandpa, played ball with Dad and Grandma, and launched his parachute man in the air over and over.

It was great to be out in such nice, warm weather...enjoying the sun, and the company.

When we got home we left to go eat at The Olive Garden. We had to wait for a table for a while, but it was so nice outside we didn't mind. The food was delicious, thanks again for dinner Mom & Dad.

What a wonderful night.
Sunday we went to church and then came home and played in the backyard with Jared, Nate and Mom. Nate really enjoyed playing with them.

Miley is so cute in her new dresses Grandma got her and she loves her new Elmo Grandpa got her too. She gives him cute kisses. Nate has his new shirt and shorts on too. Looking good! Dad got Nate a bunch of match box cars and a car carrier which Nate loves. Miley even enjoys playing with it.
Nate, Miley, Grandma and I also played upstairs with the kids with Nate's cars and ramps. He enjoyed making them all crash. Miley like playing with Nate's big talking Mater from Cars, his Chevron cars, lawn mower and Grandma. Man do they giggle a lot together. It is so cute.

The other thing of excitement that happened Sunday night was Nate lost his 2nd tooth. It was loose in the morning but by night when I brushed his teeth it was barely holding on. So the Tooth Fairy came while we were sleeping and left Nate a Dollar. Thanks again Tooth Fairy for the dollar....(aka Mom).

Monday Jared had to go back to work :( but Nate and I got Grandma and Grandpa involved with a fun activity. Thursday night before they came we went out as a family to Micheal's and bought some wood crafts to paint. Nate really wanted to paint them for his Grandparents to tell them Thank You for all they do for him. He got a airplane, a heart, a turtle, a monkey, a butterfly, and a horse to paint. Nate painted the airplane for grandpa, and the monkey for grandma, and they painted the heart (Grandpa) and the turtle (Grandma) for Nate, to show him how much they love him. I painted some sea horses for our FHE chart, which I'll show later when I am done with it. Miley painted the butterfly, or should I say she took a paint brush with no paint and brushed the butterfly, it was real cute.

Dad and his heart he painted. I forgot to get a picture of Nate's and grandmas when they were done, because we had to leave to meet up with Jared for lunch before Mom & Dad had to leave. We ate at Fizolies, and played with the kids there. I think everyone had a great time.

Miley enjoyed playing with the lids for drinks while we ate.

Nate even figured out that he could go to the soda machine and fill up his drink on his own.

It was so great to have Dad & Mom out...Thanks again, I can't tell you how wonderful it is to have you both. You are the Best Parents and Grandparents. We love you.

Sydney the Super Aunt

Here is Miley and my unicorn Sumpun. She was giving him kisses and playing with him so cute.

Sydney, Jared's sister, came out to visit us Thursday the 19th threw the 21st. It was so nice to have her here. The kids had such a good time. I'm usually number 1 to them here ate our house. I always expect to be #2 when grandmas come, but man Sydney has all power too. Nate wanted Sydney to do everything with him, but not me. Miley also love Syd, but I'm still #1 there :). Nate made Sydney play with his trucks...

Build puzzles with him....
This is actually one that Sydney brought for him as a gift. It had 100 pieces and he loved every min of putting it together....including at the end when Syd told him that who ever puts in the last piece gets luck....so now he always has to put in the last piece...LoL He made her play his Vteck game system, duel him in his light saber duel game, play Lego's and star wars guys, play at the park......And

weed the back yard. He thought that was so fun and he wanted to share the joy with Her. Thanks for being a good sport Syd.

Both Nate and Miley had a good time, and Jared and I loved having our sister around.
Friday night Sydney took us out to eat at the Claim Jumper, a steak house, it was so good. We really enjoyed ourselves and the kids did really good too and they enjoyed their food.
Miley's Cute Shoes.

Dad playing with the kids.

Saturday before Sydney had to leave for the airport we went over to the park to try to get Nate's X wing fighter kite up in the air again....

Miley and Sydney Cheered for us.

Nate kept saying, just try 3 more times...

but the wind kept dying on us so we never had it up longer than a few seconds.
We sure did have a great time though. Thanks again Sydney for coming down and for being the best!

I can Stand! I can Play!

Miley is now getting herself up and standing next to anything she can climb up on to. She is enjoying playing with some of Nate's old toys like this learning Leap Frog Table, from Aunt Sydney, and a ball slide toy, from Grandma Smart.

She also loves playing with drawers and cupboards, which means pinched fingers here and there.

Here is Nate hiding from the camera because he is still in his PJ's and Miley crawling to Nate's room to play with him.
I am so grateful that my two kids play together so well. Nate loves having a little friend to play with and Miley admires and adores her brother so much. I love playing with the two of them.

The Metcalf's stay the night.

Friday night we had the honor of having the Metcalf's stay at our home for the night as they were on their way up to Utah. I say we had the 'Honor' because it's men like Justin who go to war when our country calls them. Men like him that help keep us safe and free here in America. Justin is on his way to Virginia to get training to then go to Afghanistan for a year of military service, leaving his family behind. Its people like Stephanie who bravely let their men go and put on a strong demeanor and raise there kid by themselves while dealing with the absents of the husband she loves. I want you both to know that we appreciate you and the service you are both giving to us and ever other American out there. We love you and our prayers will be with you. Thanks again for stopping by and saying hi to us and good luck.
Justin grabbing what's left in the house before they get on the road again.
It's not quite time to get in the car....
Super wife and mom.
Me and Steph.

Nate and Sydney posing for me as we all say goodbye.

Miley and Bath Time.

So this is a picture of the first time Miley got to bath with her brother. They had a really good time with the bath toys, splashing each other, and being really loud.

On Friday the 6th I got some water in the tub for Nate to take a bath. Miley was playing in the other room and heard the bath water. Well she kept trying to go into the bathroom. So I gave her a toy to distract her so Nate could bath by himself. It seemed to work. The phone rang so I answered it. I got talking on the phone to my Grandma Fonnesbeck, having a great time when I realized I heard Miley's voice echoing. I ran to the bathroom and his is what I found.

This was the first time since she started crawling that she has lifted her self up and got into a standing position. She wanted in the bath tub so bad. She kept trying to reach down into the water to splash. Nate was a good brother and said it would be OK to share his bath. They had a great time together.

When ever I do the laundry Miley loves to ride up in the basket up the stairs and onto our bed where she tries to help me fold them, or unfold them, I haven't figured out which she likes to do more yet.

Family fun...

Here is Miley Crawling some more, her saying Bama (aka Mama), Nate dueling his dad with light sabers on the Wii, and some peek a boo with Dad.
