Helping hands!

It was so great having mom out for the rest of the week. The kids had so much fun and so did Jared and I. I felt bad for mom because Nate had her sitting on the floor almost the whole time she was here, building towers, car washes, parking garages, and what ever else he had it in is mind for them to build. As soon as she would get back up on the couch to rest for a minute he would say, "Grandma don't you want to build with me," or "Grandma I need your help to build a blablabla." He sure did have such a great time with you ma.

Tuesday night Jared and I got out and went and watched Get Smart. It was so funny and nice to be out with my hubby on a date. I love dating him.
Thursday Mom, the kids, and I went to the Dennis the Menace Park in Monterey. I was so glad that mom was there with me. I don't know how I would have kept track of Nate and taken care of Miley. This park is so big and there are so many kids that if you take your eye off of Nate for just a second he is lost in the sea of kids and playground toys and tunnels.Mom took the first shift of following Nate. And the she watched Miley while I ran around with him.
Nate thought I was chasing him so he kept busy moving from one thing to the next.
Miley had fun too, I think.
Then right before we left Mom and Nate played on the real train they have. Anything that involves a trains = heaven to Nate. He could have played on it all day if we would have let him.
He kept saying, "All aboard," and "I need to calibrate this or that."
He is so cute. We got shakes and fries on the way home from McDonald's.

Here is a picture Nate took of us getting ready to go to the Aquarium on Friday. Once again I was grateful I had her there with us. We took turns watching the kids :).

Nate and Miley, doesn't she look thrilled.
They also have a new area called the splash zone, where the kids get to interact with ocean currents and other fun things.Mom and Nate in the giant shell.
Ane me.
Once we got home on Friday from Monterey we went to the movies and watched Wall-e. It is the cutest movie and has to be one of our favorites. If you haven't gone to see it you need to. Nate loved it. His favorite character is Mo.

Jared and the kids.
Saturday we had to say goodbye to mom, even though we didn't want to. We took her to the airport reluctantly and said goodbye. I guess Dad and the kids back home needed her too.

We went to Famous Dave's on the way home to eat our sorrow away. Nate took this picture. He has really been into taking the camera and wanting to take pictures. He did pretty good. Thanks again mom for coming, for all your help, and kindness. We love you and miss you.

The other fun we had with Mom, Dad, and Sydney

Miley and Sydney
We had a heat wave, which is nice because I love hotter summers, but bad because we have no AC. That's right, none of the apt, and most homes out here don't have ac because we don't need it, most of the time. Miley was getting fussy so the girls hung outside to try and cool down the first evening they got here. (Friday)
While the boys played the Wii.
Sydney, Mom, and Nate.
Saturday morning we went to our favorite breakfast joint to eat. It was dads first time eating here, First Awakenings.
We also enjoyed the Farmers Market that is set up just outside the restaurant.
Jared and Dad
Me and my Hubby!
Miley
The Boys.
Later after we went to a movie, Kung Fu Panda (Miley did ok in it, everyone else really liked it), we headed for the beach right on Monterey Bay. It was such perfect weather for the beach, nice and hot. The frigged water actually felt so good to wad in.
Sydney, Nate and Grandma.
The men with my little angel!
Jared keeping his girl protected from the sun, what a great dad.
The girls taking Nate for a walk.
This was one of the first times Nate actually played in the water some of the time instead of just playing in the sand.

Hanging out.
Cheese!!!

We had a great time at the beach, and no one got burned thank goodness. We were so grateful for the wonderful weather and the fun with everyone. Nate had a blast. Dad and Sydney had to leave on Monday but Mom got to stay for the week. I'll post more on that later. Thanks again, you guys are the best.
