Walking the Dog.

So Nate has been sick with the flu since Friday night. I hate it when he is sick, it is so sad, and I feel so helpless. He is so sick of being sick that he wont lay down for long. Well this morning for starters he was coming to my room when he tripped and hit his head and gave himself a goose egg. Really we don't beat him...:). So after calming him down and giving him some pain medicine he was up and going again. He said he wanted to be like his Grandma Deming and walk his dog. So we rigged a leash out of his crochet snake and he put a rubber band on it for its dog tags and then he proceeded dragging his dog around the house. I asked him what his dogs name was and at first he told me Reno...which is the name of the dog his Grandma walks, but then he decided that he wanted his dogs name to be Doggie. I know what you are thinking so original. He wants a dog so bad, but that will have to wait till we have a house.

Nate and Doggie.
After there long walk I asked him if he knew why you walk your dog. He told me it was so they could get exercise. Yes that is one of the reasons you walk your dog I explained and the other is so they can go to the bathroom. He told me his dog didn't go outside, that he knew how to use the toilet. After he explained this to me he took doggin in the bathroom and Doggie went pee in the toilet. He makes me laugh.Nate, Doggie, Stitch, Kitty, and bear all chilled on the bed and watched some backyardigans after. Man I love being a mom.

28 Weeks

So we went to the doctors and got another ultrasound to make sure our little girl was doing good, and she is. Everything is looking good, she is healthy and strong. The one curious thing was that for the 3d shot she posed like the kid off of the Home Alone movies....
But instead of using her hand she tough she would do it with her foot. How cute!!! Its just so good to know that she is doing good and growing the way she should. Thank you to all of you who prayed and fasted with us. We love you all.

The Rest of Moms visit!

Well to start this post off I am going to apologize, for the non-stop pictures. I know there are alot, but there was so many I liked, and I just had to have these ones. So sorry...:).

As you can see we went out to the park and played some while Mom was here. She had gotten Nate an airplane and a parachute man to play with. It was a little windy for the airplane but we still had fun trying to get it to fly, especially the boys. Mom on the other had kept bombarding me with the parachute guy while I was taking pictures. I had to keep on my toes so I could duck at a moments notice.
Me and Jared
After a while Nate couldn't ignore the beckoning call of the playground area. He absolutely loves parks and to play in the sand at the beach. Of course every kid he meets he instantly assumes they are his best friends and that they want to play with him, so parks can be a challenge too at times. He is very social, don't know who he got that from...hehe.

Me and Mom
On Sunday we were bad and instead of going to Stake Conference, we took a trip up to the beach at Rio Del Mar, which is south of Santa Cruz. It was cold at first but then it cleared up for a while and we enjoyed chilling our feet in the ocean as we looked for sea shells.
Nate looking for shells and rocks.
Daddy and son.
Nate and I made a sand castle, wow I didn't know it was so hard to make a sand castle while you were pregnant, but let me tell you it wiped me out. After mom came back from a long walk collecting shells we packed up and went home.
Monday we once again traveled up to Santa Cruz area so we could do the Boardwalk experence in Cali. We have walked around the boardwalk before, we've just never done the rides. Nate, Grandma, and Dad went on a bunch and had a good time.
I went on the only ride I could go on with Nate and it was fun. As we went around on the merry go round Nate was telling me a knock knock joke. It goes, "Knock, knock. Who's there. Ya. Ya who. Is that you there cowboy?" And then we would laugh and try and make our horses go faster.
Mom on the Board Walk
Nate and Dad on a ride. Tuesday we just hung out at the house for the most part and then on Wednesday we took Grandma to the airport and said goodbye. We hate saying goodbye, but it was wonderful to have mom out and we all had a wonderful time.

Valentines Day Fun

So we had a wonderful Valentines Day. My mom came into town and watched Nate while Jared and I got away to Carmel for a romantic getaway. It was so nice to have some time with my sweet husband. We picked my mom up at the airport around noon and then ate lunch at Arby's. Nate was very happy to have her here too. Then when we got home Jared and I split, and left Nate and Grandma to have there fun.
We stayed at the Quail Lodge Resort & Golf Club in Carmel, CA. We have stayed here before and loved it. We could look out from our Suite to the 14 hole, and the sunset here is so beautiful. It has a very large screen plasma screen tv, dvd player, and a huge bathroom. After check in we were walking to our suite and enjoying the view and flowers and the idea of being away when, we passed the room we had stayed in before and realized we were going to be staying just 2 suites down from there. The next suite had all of its shades opened, the ones in its big bay window area, the front glass door window and the other front window. Well of course both of us looked in and yep guess what we saw. I don't know what this man was thinking. Anyways we had a full back side view of him NAKED....aaaahhhh. We both turned our heads quick and went straight to our suite. So now we have other special memories, oh yeah.
Well besides that wonderful moment, the get away was wonderful. As you can see below this is a front shot of our suite. Lots of windows....well we made sure we kept our shades closed. Haha
In the morning Jared and I drove down to Carmel and had breakfast at the Cottage Restaurant which was amazing. We used our gps unit to find it...I love having this little thing that tells me where to go. We don't get lost, yeah, and Jared loves playing with his little toy even if we know where we are going. So our Valentines day was great. Thank you Mom, and Jared.

Deming Look-alike Meter

So Stephanie got me curios to see who Nate looks like more. I was actually shocked with the results. I really thought it would be a higher percent, that they would say Nate looked like Jared 85%...guess not.

I've Been Tagged!

A. The rules of this game are posted at the beginning.
B. Each player answers the question about themselves.
C. At the end of the post, the player then tags 5 people and posts their names, and then leaves a comment on their blog letting them know they have been tagged and asking them to read your blog to get the directions.

10 yrs ago:
I was a junior in college, playing volleyball at Weber State, and changing my major every other week. I had good and bad friends. Made good and bad choices, I was still trying to find myself in some way, looking back now. But all in all having fun.

5 Things on my list of things to do today:
1) Work on my lesson for Activites Days activity.
2) Work on my blog while Nate has his rest time.
3) Work on what girl names I like, and hit Jared up on them when he gets home.
4) Play with Nate, and Jared.
5) Make dinner, FHE.

Things I would do if I suddenly was a Billionaire:
Figure out what Jared would like to do with it, he always has the best ideas. Buy a new home wherever we wanted. Pay off our car and buy another car. Make an art room and paint and draw more. Get Nate in preschool, it is so expensive here. Buy my mom a car....I owe her. An pay a lot of tithing. After that who knows.

3 of my bad habits:
Wow where to start...I'm sure I could be a much better mother. I wish I knew how to handle every situation the way the Savior would.
I need to find the time to work out...I have no muscles left.
I need to find the time to get out in the outdoors more...and enjoy the beauty all around us.
I need more patience too. Oh that is more than 3 I guess I'll stop.

Places I have lived:
Clearfield, UT
Cornish, UT
Pocatello, ID
Ogden, UT
Ibarra, Ecuador
Logan, UT
Wellsville, UT
Salinas, CA

Jobs I have had:
Dishwasher, Salad Girl, Waitress, Pie maker, Pizza maker, Painter, Coach for Club VB, Fitness Attendant, VB Summer Camps, House cleaner, Lawn mower, Mother...I think that is almost all of them.

Things most people don't know about me:
I hate Cake...oh most people do know that about me. I can be really Random, use to be called Random Rena...oh ya you all know that too. Well let me see, I once had my belly button periced, how stupid and now I have a scare to look at and remind me how dumb that was, at least I didn't get the tatoo. I really want people to like me for who I am and so sometimes I try to hard. I can't stand too much mess, it drives me crazy. I am a little crazy.

I tag only one person, Alicia.
